The idea for BestofPowerTool.com came to me one day while talking to friends about power tools. During our talk, it soon became apparent that many of them simply didn’t know what tools were right for a given job. Moreover, they weren’t knowledgeable about which manufacturers produced the highest quality tools. So, in response, I decided to create this blog to better inform others about power tools. I have also produced a “Top 10 List” that honestly compares and evaluates different products.
Finding the right power tool isn’t as easy as it might seem to some. First, many different tools can be used for a job, but knowing which ones will produce the best results is key. Second, as noted before, quality varies greatly among different brands. Tool searching is made even more difficult by the fact that many don’t have the time to do proper research. They are busy with their work and don’t have time to examine multiple product pages and read numerous reviews. So, unfortunately, they rely on getting all their information from family and friends who may or may not know that much about power tools.
Most of my friends were similarly baffled by the process of finding the best power tools. While researching tools with friends, in a hardware shop, they were overcome by the sheer selection offered and unable to determine which ones were better than others. I then realized that the shop’s selection was like a minefield to the uninformed. The shop offered high quality, mid-quality, and extremely low-quality tools. Some of these were grossly over-priced and others were much more affordable. Ultimately, this experience highlighted the potential pitfalls of shopping while uninformed and further fueled my desire to create this blog.
It is my goal to help prospective power tool buyers do better research and make the best purchasing decisions.
